Field Mouse Press
For Immediate Release
Grass Valley, CA: Today, Fieldmouse Press announces that it has a signed Memorandum of Understanding with the Nevada County Arts Council. This Memorandum brings Fieldmouse Press into a fiscal sponsorship agreement with the Nevada County Arts Council, and further states that a fiscal sponsorship of Fieldmouse Press is consistent with its organizational goals.
The Nevada County Arts Council (https://www.nevadacountyarts.org), is a State-Local Partner with the California Arts Council. As a 501(c)(3) not-for-profit organization, it facilitates collaborative efforts that promote and sustain the visual, literary, and performing arts of Nevada County to advance the cultural, social, and economic life of its community.
Eliza Tudor, Executive Director at Nevada County Arts Council, says: “We are thrilled to provide fiscal sponsorship for Fieldmouse Press under our Arts Incubator Program. Arts Incubator provides an administrative hub for cultural initiatives serving the public good through cultural innovation. We loved the vision of Fieldmouse Press right away and felt we were a natural fit.”
This fiscal sponsorship agreement enhances the mission of Fieldmouse Press, which is to advance the comics arts through the publication of criticism, essays, and art for the benefit of the public. Through this fiscal sponsorship agreement, Fieldmouse Press will be able to apply for grant funding for which it otherwise would not be eligible. The Nevada County Arts Council will also provide additional organizational knowledge, networking opportunities, and greater exposure for the work of Fieldmouse Press.
Fieldmouse Press is headquartered in Nevada County, California. Daniel Elkin, president of Fieldmouse Press, stated, “We anticipate that, through this relationship, we will be able to grow our organizational exposure and have more institutional support for our grant-seeking activities. For the Nevada County Arts Council, partnering with Fieldmouse Press expands the scope of their support for a medium with which they, up until now, had little contact.”
