Press Release: Fieldmouse Press Announces Crowdfundr Campaign for Latest Book, I THOUGHT YOU LOVED ME by MariNaomi

(September 15, 2022) Grass Valley, CA based Fieldmouse Press, a nonprofit comics publisher, is bringing a brand new memoir from celebrated cartoonist MariNaomi to readers through a crowdfunding campaign on Crowdfundr, which launched on September 15th, 2022. This project launch is the second project for Fieldmouse Press to use the crowdfunding platform Crowdfundr, a crowdfunding platform built by ConnectionPoint (Fundrazr, CoCoPay).

I Thought You Loved Me, MariNaomi’s Gen X graphic memoir, explores queer culture, feminism, race, class, sex work, and the flawed nature of memory as Mari works to uncover a long-lost best friend that she can no longer remember but can’t let go of. Mari tells the story with a mix of prose, collage, and sequential art.

Fieldmouse Press was established in 2019 and is best known for SOLRAD, the online literary magazine for comics, and as the publisher of Ariel Bordeaux’s Ignatz-nominated Clutter. The campaign will run from September 15th to October 30th, with a planned publication date of February 7th, 2023.
